This view of Sugar Loaf Rock (on horizon just right of center) shows the Steamer Pier with people crowded onto it and lined up along the railing and benches on the beach. The publisher's numbers on the back are 6026 (next to Newman's name) and 893. Although this is a "divided back" postcard (allowed by postal regulation after March of 1907), the instructions on the back are to use the small space on the left for a return address only. This places publication close to the date of the change in regulations.
