The town of Avalon can dimly be seen in the background between the bay and the mountains, with smoke or steam from a stack blown toward the right. Though unacknowledged, the number A-11807 next to the dividing line on the back belonged to printer, producer, creator Curt Teich and denotes the years 1908-1910, according to the guide maintained by the Curt Teich Postcard Archives. The publisher set up in business in 1910.
