The homes of Hollywood movie stars have traditionally been the subjects of postcards. In this case the actors were Douglas Fairbanks (1883-1939) and Mary Pickford (1892-1979), stars of the silent screen, and their mansion was Pickfair, a combination of their last names. The publisher's numbers is 836 in the top border. Although there is no attribution, there is a number in the right lower corner, a typical place and style for a number belonging to publisher, printer and creator Curt Teich. According to the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, 88456 represents the year 1922.
