It's unclear exactly where on Newport Bay Burton Frasher might have taken te photograph for this Real Photo Picture Postcard. The Balboa Peninsula extends southeast from Newport Beach, forming Newport Bay, with several protected islands, including Harbor Island. The pier of the postcard title might be the same as the one in PC-001-007, shown in 1921. The photograph was printed by the "real photo" process onto a postcard backing made by EKC, as indicated by the stampbox on the back of this unsent card. EKC photo paper was available from 1930 until 1950. The publisher's number is in the right lower margin, F-7862.
