The exact location of this Real Photo Picture Postcard is unknown. The Balboa Peninsula extends southeast from Newport Beach, forming Newport Bay, with several protected islands, including Harbor Island. The hills in the distance and the logistics of harbors dictate that the photograph must have been taken on the shore side of the Peninsula. The photograph was printed by the "real photo" process onto a postcard backing made by EKC, as indicated by the stampbox on the back of this unsent card. EKC photo paper was available from 1930 until 1950. The publisher's number is in the right bottom corner, F-7866.
