The Fox and Hounds Motel features its stamps of approval from Duncan Hines and the American Automobile Association (AAA) on the front of this split picture postcard with an interior view cutout on the right side, showing the "Guests Patio Lounge" with a piano. This postcard was dated by several sellers as 1951, which fits the style of the automobiles shown. US Highway 101 was decommissioned in San Diego around 1964, so this card must have been manufactured before that date, since it states it was located on "U.S. 101."
The publisher Colourpicture operated from 1938 to 1969. This "ShiniColor" (a type of "chrome" process) card bears the number SK3965 on the back,
