Real Photo Post Card showing wedding party with oxcart, San Diego, California
Azo photo paper
Real Photo Post Cards were made by a Kodak process in which photographers--whether amateur or professional--could have photographs printed on the back of postcard blanks. These often yielded undescribed photographs. The particular Azo paper used for this photograph was used from 1926 until the 1940s. The photograph shows what appears o be a wedding party, with a bride and groom standing next to the back of an oxcart, one woman standing beside them, one sitting (who may be holdng a bouquet) next to the bride, two people in the oxcart, one man standing behind the ox, and one standing in front of the ox and holding one horn of the animal. Two of the women are identified by first name on the back of the card, digitized as PC-000-733B.
