This hand-tinted picture postcard misspells "Timken" as "Timpkin" as it gives the location of the photographer. The Timken Building is at 861 Sixth Avenue, which would be the street on the right border of the photograph. Since the building is on the corner of E Street, the next perpendicular street (east-west) would be Broadway (then D). The phrase in the label at the top of the card "On the Line of the Santa Fe" probably refers to a promotion resulting from the arrival of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway line in San Diego.
