The Fireside Restaurant & Cocktail Louge was at Highway 395 and Washington Avenue in Escondido, California on the Holiday Inn grounds. This is a picture postcard advertising their establishment, as managed by Lois and Murray Myerson, with the telephone number and location information on the reverse side. The Holiday Inn is in the same place in 2013, but what was once Highway 395 is now US Interstate 15 (395 goes north from Hesperia). It appears that no restaurant is nearer than a mile to the Inn in this year. The publisher was in business from 1950-1984, but Highway 395 in San Diego was decommissioned in 1973, limiting the date range of this untraveled picture postcard.
