This picture postcard from the "Animal Color Series from the San Diego Zoo" identifies the animals in this image section as "Zebra" from "Africa." Two zebras stand, one behind the other, in full sun near the moat that surrounds their closure and no far from the dividing wall. Of the three species of zebra, one is listed as "vulnerable" (the Mountain zebra), and one (Grevy's zebra) as "endangered" by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) in 2013. The San Diego Zoo is in Balboa Park in San Diego, California. The Curt Teich number in the stampbox on the back is 3DK-329, decoded to 1963. The publisher's number in the upper left corner of the back is SDZ-19
