The facade and main door of the California State Building during the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915. The Exposition was held in San Diego's Balboa Park to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal. The area between the facade and the domed building housed the San Diego Museum (of Art) during this first exposition. On the left is the California Building that houses the San Diego Museum of Man in 2013, and on the right is the California Tower. This California State Building complex was designed by Bertram Goodhue (1869-1924).
