One steamship ferry is in dock in almost the middle of the picture, while another departs at the far right. Beneath the Steamer Pier is the Green Pleasure Pier (1909). Toward the bottom of the picture is the amphitheatre, with the sheltered bottom of the incline railway going up the mountain. On the hill at right is the Peter Gano House (1890), and straight above it on the northwestern rim of the Bay is Sugar Loaf Rock at Sugar Loaf Point. The number on the back of the card is R-55090, which, according to the guide maintained by the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, translates to 1915.
