Jones, Harry E.
Jones thanks John and Jane Adams for sending a "package of dates (with its aromatic enclosure)" as a Christmas gift, and introduces the new food, along with parched corn and jerky, to his barracks mates. He writes about the books he has received and read, and includes his overseas address-to-be in France as he waits at a point of embarkation.
