Dear Sir: Your letter of the 9th inst., is received.
We do not need a Steward or chef. Should like a first-class pastry cook who will take charge of pastry and baking when the house has less than 125 guests, with one cheap assistant, and who will take care of the house with any number over 125 with one assistant who can bake. Would pay a good, sober, competent man a good salary. It may be you have some friend you can recommend.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock
