Unidentified people mug for the camera and hold on as they ride on the back of a flatbed truck. A sign handwritten in blue marker on what appear to be stacked boxes at left reads "Do me safely." Project Lifeguard was a project of the AIDS Foundation of San Diego. They are in front of the San Diego Chicken Pie Shop Restaurant on Fifth Avenue.
