Bunker, James E.
After Bunker left San Diego in 1941 he went to Washington "to work for the F.B.I." (The FBI part is crossed out, censored by Lauren Post.) He would like to see any from San Diego State College who are "near the Capitol." He is unable to understand how he could have been at State and never met "a person that is so thoughtful of others as you are." The large $5,00" written across the letter refers to an enclosed donation.
