Toward the top appears the name Roque de Vargas, and in two lines that of Manuel Alejandro Varba (elsewhere Manuel Alexandro Barba). The notary public signs his name and draws a line, and the word "Certification" appears on the left toward the bottom. This section is dated April 13, 1695, and incorporates the names of Manuel Alexandro Barba and Pedro de Labastida.
