Gussie Davis was an African-American songwriter responsible for publishing more than 300 songs, including "Irene, Good Night," later popularized and altered by Lead Belly in 1936. The person pictured in the circle at right is Frank Leslie, probably a singer. The train in the photograph is identified as "The Empire State Express of the New York Central" Railroad, said to be the "Fastest Train in The World."
