William Tascher (right) with a rifle and camping gear. The boy on the left is unidentified. Tascher may be on his way to the Paramount Studios' set of "Beau Geste" to act in a parody of it. The cast and crew had to carry packs in to the set through sand dunes, bringing their own rifles. This may have been taken on the campus of San Diego State College, where Tascher was a student.
