Called "the Sheriff" by the San Diego State College students who made the parody of "Beau Geste," an unidentified caretaker stands on the set during the filming. The location was the same as the Paramount Studios movie, on the abandoned set of Fort Zinderneuf in the desert near Yuma. (The exact location is an archeological dig and may not be disclosed.)
