Daw, Jack C.
The Air Corps has accepted Daw and he is in Louisiana awaiting transfer to a classification center. Despite the fact that he is in Lauren Post's home state, Daw says he would "take San Diego for life," remarking how hot it is. He repeats a rumor that the camp is in disgrace and that General MacArthur will not "take any men trained in Louisiana due to the fact that the men are all burned out after leaving Louisiana."
