Burkhardt was unable to "stand by being called a 'draft dodger' and not doing something about it." Now he is in the Army's 85th Bombardier Group with a number of San Diegans: Wesley Carter, Tom Hart, Don Owens, Lt. Findley, Lt. Mundell. "The boys are getting anxious" to take revenge on behalf of Milky Phelps, Vic Talbot, "and the others who have gone beyond." He would like to know where Bill Post is.
