Borg, Walter R.
Borg "had NO CHRISTMAS at all." On a "Merchant Ship chasing my destroyer," they crossed the 180th meridian on Christmas Eve and the next day was December 26. They had a turkey and ate it anyway, the Christmas greetings in several languages never got read, and the captain wouldn't open his liquor. He saw Bill Downing in San Francisco and recommends the Junior Officers Club at 740 Taylor Street.
