Wharton, Clelland A.
The Aztec News Letter reminds Wharton of the "Hod chain letter" (Eta Omega Delta fraternity) distributed after graduation from San Diego State College. He sends his new address and the address of Don Gow. "Just like all the rest of the fellows" he "can hardly wait to get back to Southern California." Evacuation hospitals received wounded soldiers and could be mobile or fixed. The 29th eventually served in the Philippines.
