Although Walton writes from the naval base at Los Alamitos his stationery is from the Pre-Flight School in Moraga. The issue of wool pants and cap and the heavy fog that keeps the cadets indoors as well as his trip to San Francisco make it clear that he is at St. Mary's. Bob Ravey and Howard Holz are also in his battalion and read his copies of the Aztec News Letter and Aztec newspaper.
