Smith, Frederick Bruce
Smith lists his assignments, including the types of planes he flew and the others from San Diego State College he met: Larry Burke, Gene Erdman, Don Peck, Hal Hevener, Dick Couts, and Leon Fish. The freshmen football squad of 1938 is doing well and mentions "the Oceanside game." He married Betty Jessop, also from State. He asks Earl Allison and Andy Echle to write him. Smith was killed in action during the war.
