Writing on Air Corps Officer Training School stationery, Meeker says they are "living in the best hotels on the beach and eating in the best restaurants," (he has gained 28 pounds in eight months), but their day starts at 5:30 a.m. and ends at 10 p.m., and they are confined to their rooms when not in class or drilling. Major Anderson (a "track man") from Sigma Delta Epsilon is an upperclassman there.
