Hansen, Robert F.
Hansen says it is "open season over here in New Guinea on Japs." He hopes the war "won't be too long now." Hansen's 126th Infantry Regiment constituted the first United States forces in Port Moresby, New Guinea, where they built a base camp. His stationery is from the Australian Comforts Fund, a reminder that Port Moresby was under Australian jurisdiction at this time.
