First a deacon of the Metropolitan Community Church of San Diego, Farrell became Lay Pastoral leader in 1974, then was elected the third pastor of the church in 1975. He was often known simply as "Reverend Dave." This photograph was taken sometime during the mid-1980s to early 1990s.
