Kehoe, Christine
During the parade, a fracas erupted between marcher Brian Barlow and a protester who claimed Barlow had knocked his sign down. Barlow was knocked down by police, restrained, and taken to a hospital and then to a police station. Barlow was acquitted and later won litigation against police for civil-rights violations, saying the protester had waved the sign in his face and it had been accidentally pushed down.
