Graffman (right) was an American pianist who studied in Paris as a Fulbright scholar and led an international touring career. He performed as a guest pianist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra on March 6th and 7th, 1975. Bernstein (left) was an American composer, conductor, and pianist known for writing the music of West Side Story.

Typed on the back of the print: "RECORD RECORDING ARTIST. Pianist Gary Graffman (right) is the only pianist to have recorded with six leading America orchestras. Here he is shown with Leonard Bernstein, listening to playbacks of their Rachmaninoff best-seller: the Concerto No. 2 and 'Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini,' which was recorded with the New York Philharmonic for Columbia Records."
