The tape opens with the playing of the United States national anthem and the audience's singing. There is a little distortion at this point. The first piece, Wagner's "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg," starts at around 2 minutes, ending at about 11 minutes. The program is conducted by Zoltan Rozsnyai. Roberta Peters (soprano) is soloist in the second piece, Mozart's "Exultate Jubilate," in the aria "Mia Speranza Adorata," K. 416, beginning at about 14 minutes and ending at about 23 minutes. Peters' encore also begins at about 23 minutes, ending at 36 minutes. The last piece before intermission is Prokofiev's "Symphony Number 1 in D" ("Classical"), Opus 25, starting at 28 minutes. The tape ends at intermission, with Part II at SD SYMPH-28.
