The blurred appearance of Ketchum's hands and the conducting baton indicates movement. Ketcham is an American pianist and conductor who began conducting the San Diego Symphony Orchestra in 1973. Additionally, Ketcham served as the music director for both the San Diego Master Chorale and the San Diego Ballet Company. He was appointed resident conductor of the symphony in 1979.
