Romero is a Spanish guitarist and conductor, and former member of Los Romeros, a guitar quartet consisting of his father, brothers, and eventually his nephew. He performed in the 1970s with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra as a member of Los Romeros, and as a soloist in the 1980s. In 2002 he performed as a guest conductor for the symphony.
