San Diego State short films
There is no sound, and the video appears to be made up of different films strung together, sometimes backwards or upside down. An intertitle after the first segment reads: "Photography: De Witt Mytinger; Dialogue: Bill Roller; Sound Effects: Bill Miller, Lee Claphan," but there is no dialog nor sound effects in this short film. There are bird's-eye views of the campus, of a parking lot, of students walking in between, of the canyons in between. There are shots of "The Aztec" sculpture, a costumed mascot animal, an Aztec Warrior, Homecoming parade vehicles, one with a sign reading "Welcome Redlands." There are a group of girls with dachshund dogs, a marching band, football players picking up helmets and shaking hands, portions of football games, fans in the bleachers, a band in the bleachers, cheerleaders (male and female), a cheering section, football players on the bench, etc.
A sign saying "On to Santa Barbara" starts a sequence in which the San Diego Santa Fe station is shown with people getting on a train, then the band getting on a school bus, cheerleaders, and finally a football game on a different field. At about 15 minutes there is footage of a 1937 track meet, including a slow-motion discus throw. There is another Founders Day and dedication ceremony, this time for the unveiling of "The Aztec" sculpture (1937). After "The End" for this piece, there are a football game with labels naming the opponent played in each game.
More recent footage around campus can be found near the end; this footage includes students walking across campus, a welder, a dance performance, swim and pottery classes, and ends with footage of a man walking down train tracks and a dance performance.
