Reformatting: California Audiovisual Preservation Project
This tape was recorded "live" at the Displaced Homemakers Conference held October 12-14. This audiotape was preservation reformatted by the California Audiovisual Preservation Project (CAVPP). After some introductory remarks, Mary King is introduced and in turn introduces the "main speaker," Sarah Weddington, President Jimmy Carter's assistant, and the attorney who won Roe v. Wade. Weddington reads a message for the conference from First Lady Rosalynn Carter. A ringing noise accompanies the speakers.
