Religious protesters wear purple sashes, some clapping. Behind them are more protesters on the sidewalk, one with a long sandwich-board sign that equates AIDS with "the Lord arresting the unclean." Signs say: "Jesus Saves sinners from Hell," partially visible behind a smiling woman, "God angry with the wicked every day [?] sodomite [with apparently chapter and verse]."
