This picture postcard of Point Loma TraveLodge motel is of the "chrome" type. A map on the back shows that it was near the junction of US Highway 80, US Highway 395, and US 101. All of these highways were decommissioned in the San Diego area during the 1960s. The Dolphin Motel at 2912 Garrison Street appears to be the successor to TraveLodge. The difference in address (TraveLodge was at 5102 Harbor Drive) appears to be insignficant, since the motel is in the block where Harbor meets Rosecrans, matching the map on the back of the card.
