This hand-tinted picture postcard is of the "Gaslamp" district of San Diego. The publishers of this postcard only operated from 1914 to 1934, limiting the possible dates of this photograph. The Oxford Hotel in the middle of this hand-tinted picture postcard was built in 1914, and the Hotel St. James visible on the right toward the top (at 830 Sixth Avenue) was built in 1913.
