The Grayson Building (second building on the left side of the street with pink signs) had been the Grant Building (purchased by the son of Ulysses S. Grant in 1894), then the Kress Building, becoming "Grayson's" in 1948. Note the semaphore traffic signal (left toward bottom with red "stop" flag up), The Kress Building here is between C and D Streets on Fifth Avenue (building with yellow vertical sign on the left). This hand-tinted picture postcard is of the "linen" type, and the publisher's number on the back is 3357.
