Streetcar tracks are visible running from the middle of the right bottom of this hand-tinted picture postcard, toward San Diego Bay at mid-right. Point Loma is in the distance in the background, looking from "New Town," since Old Town lies inland just south of the San Diego River, with no view of San Diego Bay. The ships in the bay may be coal bunkers. In the middle of the postcard is the Spreckels Building, facing toward the right, with the marquee in the middle facing the street on the first floor.
