This "Animal Color Series" picture postcard "from the San Diego Zoo" identifies the animal in the picture portion of the postcard as a "Uganda Giraffe" from "East Africa." In this photograph, a mature giraffe is standing next to a wall ruler that starts at 10 feet and goes to 16. The tip of the giraffe's visible horn is at the 16-foot mark as it stands in profile, facing away from the ruler, to the left in full sunlight. The San Diego Zoo is in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. Although no publisher is identified, there is a number in the upper left corner of the back of this card that might be a publisher's number: LM-14.
