This picture postcard from the "Animal Color Series from the San Diego Zoo" identifies the cat in the picture section as an "Ocelot, South America." The cat is shown in closeup, with its head and shoulders taking up the whole space. On the right, its head clearly shows the irregular striped and spotted markings characteristic of the species, as does its shoulder on the left. In 2013 their range includes Central and South America, with a few in the United States.
