A common eland, a type of African antelope, is seen nursing her calf, whose side is to the camera. The female's back is to the viewer, with what appears to be an animal barn in the right background, and in the deep background on the left are two other animals. This color picture postcard states in the message section that it is part of an "Animal Color Series from the San Diego Zoo" and that the photograph is of a "Common Eland and Baby, Africa." In 2013 the range of these animals in the wild is southern Africa.
