Curt Teich
This picture postcard from the "Animal Color Series from the San Diego Zoo" identifies the animal in the picture section as a "Llama (pronounced Yama)" from the "Andes Mountains, South America." In 2013, llamas are domestic animals who have no natural range, but they are found mainly along the middle of the West Coast of South America (The Andes), having been domesticated by the Quechua people from the wild guanacos. The Curt Teich number in the stampbox on the back of this card is 0DK-157, decoded to 1960.
