A gorilla, possibly a baby, holds something with both hands while sitting on a platform at the San Diego Zoo
Actual Photo Co., La Jolla, California, US
This self-described "Actual Photo" picture postcard shows what it states is a "Snoopey Gorilla." The gorilla, which looks like a baby, is holding an orange object with both hands and possibly chewing on it. It is sitting on a platform. If it was a baby, it might have been in the Children's Zoo within the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. According to the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources), in 2013 the Eastern Gorilla is "endangered," while the Western Gorilla is "critically endangered." The image is an actual photograph rather than a printed reproduction. The back of the card states that it was "finished in West Germany." There are two numbers on the back of the card: ZA 63 and (P205).
