The California Tower of the California Building, Balboa Park, San Diego
C. T. American Art
The California Tower was designed by Bertram Goodhue (1869-1924), and built as part of the Callifornia State Building complex for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915. During the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935, also held in San Diego's Balboa Park, the buildings were known as the Palace of Science or Palace of Science of Man. The pergola from the original Montezuma Garden of the 1915 Exposition is shown on the left.
