Western entrance to Balboa Park, San Diego, across the Cabrillo Bridge
E. C. Kropp Company, Milwaukee, WI
Looking east from the Cabrillo Bridge to the west archway entrance of Balboa Park, the Callifornia Tower and Building are on the left. These structures, designed by Bertram Goodhue (1869-1924) for the Panama-Callifornia Exposition of 1915 as the California State Buildings, are part of the California Quadrangle that includes the entrance arch seen in the middle of the picture between the trees. The California Building was subsequently used as the San Diego Museum of Man.
