E. C. Kropp Company, Milwaukee, WI
The Lily Pond (Laguna de las Flores, Laguna de Espejo, or Reflecting Pool) and entrance to Botanical Building and conservatory designed by the architectural firm of Bertram Goodhue (1881-1943), for the Panama-California Exposition of 1915. The roof of the Botanical Building is redwood lath, open to the weather, so the building is sometimes called the "Lath House." The exposition was held in San Diego's Balboa Park to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal.
