Commerce and Industries Building, Panama-California Exposition of 1915 in Balboa Park

 

 

 

 

The Commerce and Industries Building built for the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 in Balboa Park had several more names before it burned down in 1978: the Canadian Building in 1916, the Palace of Better Housing in 1935, and the Electric Building. It housed the Museum of Natural History from its inception until 1933, when its new building was finished, and finally was the home of the San Diego Aerospace Museum. It was reconstructed as the Casa de Balboa in 1982.
